Chicago, Ill. − Newark element14 has doubled the size of its custom electronic component kitting facility in Plano, Texas, driven by increased demand for turnkey assemblies and engineering kits.
As part of Newark element14’s value-added services, the distributor provides kits for design, production, field repair and maintenance. Services include a wide range of fabricated and fully assembled printed circuit boards. The distributor also can customize labels and packaging for kits, hold stock and ship to a customer’s schedule.
“We are the only electronics component distributor to offer these services, or as one design engineer manager put it, ‘to be able to take away my procurement nightmares’, said Neil Davies, general manager, Newark element14, in a statement. “Kits which comprise a high mix of a small number of components are the most time consuming for our customers to handle themselves, but it’s one of our strengths, and we can typically turn around a custom kit in 24 to 72 hours.”
Newark element14 is a high-service distributor of technology products and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair, including development kits, capacitors, resistors, connectors, switches, relays, semiconductors and cables. The distributor’s product services include calibration, custom panel meters, custom cable assemblies, free same-day cut tape re-reeling, and environmental peel packaging re-reeling.
