Mansfield, Mass. − Mouser Electronics, Inc. has signed a global distribution agreement with Philips Lumileds Lighting Company to sell the company’s LED lighting solutions.
Philips Lumileds’ family of high-power LEDs is used in a variety of applications including automotive lighting, computer displays, LCD televisions, signage and signaling and general lighting. The company’s LUXEON Power Light Sources are said to be the first to combine the brightness of conventional lighting with the small footprint, longer life, and other inherent advantages of LEDs. The company also supplies core LED material and LED packaging.
Some of the latest LED advances from Philips Lumileds that advance light output, efficacy and quality of light include the LUXEON R LED. It is said to deliver more light output, higher efficacy and better quality of light. Target applications include outdoor and industrial lighting such as streetlights, high-bay lights, wall packs, and bollards.
Another new product is the LUXEON M that offers a high lumen output of more than 1100 lumens and typical voltage of 11.2 V, which is said to drive down system cost and improves system performance, said Philips. Targeting outdoor and industrial LED lighting, the LUXEON M is available in 3000K, 4000K, and 5700K correlated color temperatures (CCT), and delivers more than 1100 lumens with a minimum CRI of 70.
