Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announces availability and full design support capabilities for a new line of high energy density DC link capacitors from Cornell Dubilier.
The 948D Series uses a fused, segmented metallization pattern, offering greater open circuit protection, increased reliability, and superior control of capacitance loss than competitive types. The new capacitors are ideally-suited for DC link applications where high bus voltage, high capacitance, and high ripple current are required for smoothing and filtering, including larger inverter systems like wind and solar energy, fuel cell, and traction applications.
Key features of the 948D Series include:
· DC link in a rectangular package; approximate 6.5-inch cube
· High capacitance: 990 to 2700 ìF
· 800-1300 Vdc
· Ripple current up to 160A rms
· Robust mounting flanges
· 200,000 hour life expectancy
· Heavy duty M10 threaded studs for robust mechanical connection
