KEMET Corporation, a leading global supplier of electronic components, today announced the kick-off of its 30th KEMET Institute of Technology (KIT) Series. Beginning at its Simpsonville Innovation Center on September 18-19, KIT features an in-depth look at how KEMET capacitors are developed and manufactured as well as their applications across the electronics industry.
“KIT is a unique educational program that provides an invaluable service to our customers,” said Per Loof, KEMET Chief Executive Officer. “These seminars also enable us to collaborate on the development of emerging capacitor technologies, emphasizing our commitment to meeting the ongoing needs of our customers.”
“As a KIT participant in various locations over the past 30 years, I have had the opportunity to see first-hand the value these seminars bring to our customers,” added Johnny Boan, KEMET Vice President of Marketing. “We openly discuss the benefits and drawbacks for each capacitor type, what establishes these characteristics, where these capacitors should and should not be used, as well as how we can enhance the technologies going forward.”
