Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new series of high power, low pass filter (LPF) broadband shunt structure PIN diodes from M/A-COM Technology Solutions (MACOM).
The three new devices are offered in lead-free 1.5 mm x 1.2 mm DFN surface mount plastic packages and provide both low and high signal frequency operation from 50 MHz to 12 GHz. The higher breakdown voltage and lower thermal resistance of the PIN diode provides peak power handling in excess of 100 W.
The new PIN diodes are ideally-suited for use in higher incident power switches, phase shifters, attenuators, and limiter microwave circuits over a broad frequency where higher performance surface mount diode assemblies are required.
Additional key features of the new high power shunt PIN diodes include:
- Shunt isolation: >23 dB
- Thermal resistance: <45 ºC/W
- Shunt isolation: >19 dB
- Thermal resistance: <35 ºC/W
- Shunt isolation: >25 dB
- Thermal resistance: <20 ºC/W
