Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for two devices for 802.11ac applications from M/A-COM Technology Solutions (MACOM).
The MAMF-010614 is a multi-function MMIC that includes a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch and low noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass mode for the receive (Rx) path. The new front-end module (FEM) delivers high isolation between transmit (Tx) and Rx paths, low Tx insertion loss and a high gain, low noise Rx path.
Key features of the MAMF-010614 include:

- · 12 dB Rx gain
- · 2.2 dB noise figure
- · 10 dBm Rx input IP3
- · 10 mA quiescent current
- · -40 dB EVM @ 23 dBm input (802.11ac 80 MHz / 256 QAM)
- · Lead-free 2 mm 12-lead STQFN package
The MASW-011043 is an integrated GaAs MMIC that includes a single-pole, triple-throw (SP3T) switch and an SPDT switch, enabling coverage of dual bands at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. It delivers high isolation and low insertion loss in a lead-free 2 mm 12-lead STQFN package. The low frequency roll-off is controlled by series blocking capacitors.

- · 25 dB return loss
- · 29 dBm input P1dB at 3V; 35 dBm input P1dB at 5V
- · 54 dBm output IP3 at 3V; 57 dBm output P1dB at 5V

- · Halogen-free “Green” mold compound
Both of the new devices are ideally-suited for the front end of WLAN 802.11a,n,ac modules and other 5-6 GHz applications where small size is critical.
