(NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Mike Buseman, chief global logistics and operations officer, Avnet, Inc., will present a session, titled “Cultivating a Lean Supply Chain,” at the SCOPE Supply Chain Operations Fall conference. The event will be held at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, October 5-7, 2014.
During his session on Monday, October 6, at 9:00 a.m. PDT, Buseman will highlight how supply chain and operations executives can leverage lean strategies to eliminate supply chain costs and waste, drive enterprise effectiveness and increase customer value. Buseman will explain how Avnet’s long history of operational excellence and culture of continuous improvement has resulted in the company implementing more than 3,800 employee-recommended lean solutions, accounting for more than $100 million in audited financial, cost avoidance, productivity and recovery benefits.
