Zytronic, the specialist developer and manufacturer of ultra large format touchscreens for public use applications, has entered into an agreement with Fast Track China to extend its presence on Mainland China. As part of the agreement, Zytronic will be represented at the new Made in Europe (MIE) Exhibition and Trading Center in Zhengzhou, which officially opens on 22 October. Other benefits of the partnership include enhanced marketing and promotion of Zytronic products in China; use of a dedicated bonded warehouse; and the ability to trade with Chinese customers in local currency.
China and Europe recognise each other as important trading partners, as was demonstrated by President Xi Jinping’s visit to Europe earlier this year. China is the world’s largest manufacturer and is keen to attract the best technologies and innovations from other countries in order to support its own economic progress. However, it also understands that European companies face a number of barriers when attempting to expand trade within China. These include logistical challenges, due to China’s huge size and travel infrastructure, as well as cultural, financial and administrative hurdles. Fast Track China is an independent organisation, supported by the Henan Local Authority, whose purpose is to help new and experienced European companies to access and win new business in China.
The MIE Center is located at the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, one of only two economic development zones in China (the other is in Shanghai). Zhengzhou is the largest city in central China and was chosen due to its location, easy access via air, rail and motorways and its large growth potential. The MIE Exhibition and Trading Center contains a 4000m2 exhibition area, offices, conference and meeting facilities and a 500m2 bonded warehouse. It will display Zytronic products all year round and is the base for an e-commerce marketing and sales team that will work with Zytronic to promote the company’s product range.
Commenting on the arrangement, Ian Crosby, Zytronic sales and marketing director, said: “Zytronic’s ultra large format touchscreens deliver the type of performance and responsiveness that smartphone users are accustomed to. China is a land of ambition and we are already seeing great interest in these leading edge technologies. Working with Fast Track China we will now be able to bring these products to an even wider audience and enable many more innovative touch related applications.”
