In an industry where business has been on a slow growth curve for months on end, a recent manufacturing report from Prime Advantage, a buying consortium for midsized manufacturers, points to some good news for the manufacturing industry.
"Specifically, what we thought was interesting about this survey is the story behind the story: It was all positive," Mike McDonald, vice president of business development at Prime Advantage, told us recently. "Earlier in the year, there might be a sprinkling of optimism in the forecast, but this is a pretty true number in terms of what manufacturers see and expect."
Last month, his firm has released the results of the 13th edition of its Purchasing and Manufacturing Survey, which offered financial projections and explored top concerns of more than 700 US industrial manufacturing companies.
We asked McDonald to offer some thoughts on the survey. Click on the image below for a slideshow on the results.
