TTI, Inc., one of the world’s leading specialist distributors of passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components, has announced significant new capabilities offered by its European connector assembly operation located close to Munich, Germany.
Commenting on the market, Lee Thompson, European Marketing Director, Military, Aerospace & Space markets at TTI, Inc explains: “The defence market is basically flat, but that can change very quickly, as we have seen many times. Also, there is an increase in the sophisticated systems that are used by personnel – encryption and security – and of course UAVs are routinely deployed now. Commercial aerospace is quite cost-driven, but there is growth especially in in-flight entertainment systems.”
“However”, he continues, “we are expecting growth in the space market. Next year we will be announcing a program with five major franchise partners to support the activity based on satellites, especially geo-stationary and low orbit ‘cube-sats’ which are now being used for new applications, such as personalised systems.”
Among many new capabilities detailed in TTI’s connector assembly shortform are: AS7928 connectors from TE Connectivity; BACC63 styles from Souriau; HE 301 and HE 308 products from Amphenol and Souriau; MIL-PRF 29504, VG95234 VG95328 VG96912 from Amphenol; plus nine different commercial series connectors and a selection of wire cable and boot products.
