With more than 6000 suppliers worldwide, managing quality is crucial to Nokia Networks' success and growth. The Nokia Networks Quality Awards program was established to encourage and reward superior quality throughout their global supply chain. The assessment process for these awards included asking Nokia Networks' executives to nominate companies with the strongest track record for quality, along with extensive interviews and inspections. Sanmina was one of three companies to be recognized.
"We have been working with Nokia Networks for 15 years and are honored to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to produce the highest quality products," said Dave Dutkowsky, Executive Vice President of Communications Networks at Sanmina. "We are proud of our teams and the quality systems employed in all of our facilities including Kunshan, China where Sanmina produces high technology products for Nokia Networks. Sanmina has worked for many years to refine and improve our quality systems, including advanced methods in Lean, Six Sigma, product design and risk assessment in order to produce the highest quality products for our customers."
"We are very pleased with Sanmina's long term commitment to quality," said Johannes Giloth, Senior Vice President of Operations at Nokia Networks. "Superior quality is a key differentiator for us in the telecommunications market. Sanmina's expertise has enabled us to drive business results including improved costs of quality and increased yields, resulting in high customer satisfaction."
