San Francisco, Calif. - The AllSeen Alliance, a cross-industry collaboration to advance the Internet of Everything through an open source software project, today announced that Canon Inc. has joined as a premier member.
By joining the AllSeen Alliance, Canon will help advance the AllJoyn open source project as the common framework used by devices, services and apps within the Internet of Everything ecosystem. Canon's investment also affirms the need for collaborative development, rather than proprietary silos, to overcome the interoperability challenges that impede movement in the Internet of Things.
