St. Petersburg, Fla. – America II Electronics, Inc., one of the world’s largest distributors of semiconductors and electronic components, today announced it has entered into a global franchise distribution agreement with Beneq, developer and manufacturer of rugged thin film electroluminescence (TFEL) displays and fully-transparent TASEL® displays.
“America II is truly focused on delivering the best service and the most robust solutions to our customers,” said Brian Ellison, president at America II Electronics. “We see an increase in demand and a lot of growth potential in the display market, and Beneq provides a premier product with their line of Lumineq displays. The addition of their TFEL and TASEL displays strengthens our product portfolio and gives us an opportunity to provide a premium offering to customers seeking displays for critical applications.”
Under terms of the agreement, America II will have global distribution rights to Beneq’s complete line of Lumieq displays.
“As the sales of our Lumineq displays continue to grow, we want to strengthen our distribution network to better serve potential new customers around the world,” said Mr. Jukka Nieminen, vice president of sales, marketing and business development at Beneq. “I am pleased to welcome America II Electronics to our international team of distributors for Lumineq displays. Together we can bring our unique crystal clear viewing experience to a variety of new products and applications.”
Beneq’s TFEL non-transparent displays are used in mining, marine, military and medical applications. They are manufactured specifically for harsh, demanding environments where traditional displays may not be suitable. Beneq’s transparent TASEL displays combine the rugged build of the TFEL design with a completely transparent display—ideal for consumer electronics and architectural applications where viewing experience and product aesthetics is essential.
With four billion components in stock at their St. Petersburg, Florida distribution facility, America II Electronics has one of the largest inventories in the industry. The company offers the most complete range of products, from active, passive and electromechanical components to memory and specialty products. America II has progressed and evolved its products and services over the years. In addition to hundreds of franchise and direct manufacturing lines, America II provides supply chain solutions, cost-saving programs, and inventory solution programs to industries ranging from telecommunications, industrial and lighting to healthcare, automotive and military. Beneq’s Lumineq displays are used in a wide array of applications in extreme conditions: mining, marine and offshore, transport, public safety, medical, military, aviation and heavy industry.
