Allen, Tex. – Fairview Microwave Inc. introduced a family of ultra-miniature UMCX, WMCX and HMCX32 cable assemblies. These flexible micro-coax jumpers offer operation from DC to 6 GHz and are typically used to connect an external antenna to a mini PCB. They are suited for use in wireless communications systems, including antennas for GPS and other radio systems, Wi-Fi, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, LTE, mini-PCI and PDA/PCS/cellular handsets.
The UMCX and WMCX cable assemblies are compatible with Hirose U.FL and W.FL connectors, respectively, and feature miniature snap-on connectors with mated connection heights ranging from 1.2 mm to 2.5 mm. The assemblies are available in 40 unique configurations with multiple coax options including 0.81 mm, 1.13 mm, 1.37 mm, RG178 and double-shielded RG178 (RG178-DS). In-series and between-series cable assemblies also are available.
The ultra-miniature UMCX, WMCX and HMCX32 cable assemblies are available in standard lengths (6, 9, 12 inches) from stock. Custom length versions and special configurations are available upon request with quoted lead times. Each of these new cable assemblies are 100 percent RF tested and continuity tested prior to shipment.
Availability: The UMCX, WMCX and HMCX32 cable assemblies are in-stock.
