Montreal, Canada – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, won top honors in the category of Best Sales Tools – Channel Partner Engagement Program during the advertising awards ceremony at the Electronic Components Industry Association’s Executive Conference held on October 26th in Chicago.
The Electronics Choice Industry Awards celebrate the industry’s efforts in marketing their brands. The annual award program, co-sponsored by Penton’s Design Engineering & Sourcing Group and ECIA, honors ECIA member companies for outstanding advertising efforts.
The contest provides ECIA members a chance to spotlight their marketing materials in nine different categories which include an integrated mix of print advertising, digital communication and video applications. The annual competition regularly generates over 100 entries, and winners are chosen based on key factors including creativity, strategy and results.
Future Electronics’ winning entry was for the company’s “Go Places” program, which encouraged all sales associates to complete a total of ten online courses regarding a specific supplier and their designated product lines.
The strategy was to motivate employees, share product knowledge/technical information/key selling points through an online training course, and ensure participation by offering a grand prize — a trip for two to Cuba — for which eligibility was dependent on the completion of all ten corresponding classes.
The results were resoundingly successful, with all eligible team members completing the full ten classes of online training.
Future Electronics was also named a finalist in several other awards categories, including Best Brand/Image Print Marketing, Best Co-Op Marketing, Best Sales Tools – Sales Incentive Campaign, and Corporate Activism.
