The distribution channel continues to see a lackluster economic environment in the Americas. Market sector sales remain choppy with inconsistent growth from one quarter to the next. The Federal Reserve reported US production declines in September for a second straight month, citing a slowing global economy, a strong dollar hurting exports, lower oil prices resulting in reduced energy sector capital investment and inventory corrections. The slowing US economy in turn results in a slowing electronics industry, which these days tracks the overall economy.
