TDK Corp. introduces the TDK-Lambda iBH series of POL (Point of Load) non-isolated DC-DC converters designed for a variety of equipment applications, including information & communication technology, semiconductor manufacturing, measuring, and general industrial. The series can operate from either a 5-Vdc or 12-Vdc bus, and accepts a wide range input of 3.5 to 14 Vdc.
The iCH series can provide output voltages from 0.7 to 5.5V, with efficiencies of up to 96%. The converters can operate in high ambient temperature, low airflow environments with minimal power derating, and deliver up to 80 watts. Other key features include output trim adjustment, power good, remote sense and a choice of positive or negative logic remote on/off. Full protection, with auto-recovery, is provided against input under-voltage, output short circuit and over-temperature.
The surface-mount converters occupy 0.36 square inches of board space, measuring 0.8 x 0.45 x 0.39 inches (20.3 mm x 11.4 mm x 9.9 mm) with weigh six grams. The iBH devices do not need externally mounted loop tuning components and offers excellent transient response to load changes, said the company. All models are certified to UL/CSA 60950-1, IEC/EN 60950-1 and carry the CE mark for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
