It is a pleasure to announce that the following ERA chapters have been selected as Chapters of the Year award recipients for the 2015 activities in these categories: • Education – CHICAGOLAND – WISCONSIN for its breakfast round table discussion titled “When Principals Merge: What to Expect, How to Prepare and What to Do (or NOT Do)”; • Membership and Member Services – NEW YORK for its dinner program event that featured a rep-manufacturer-distributor panel discussing present and future developments in the electronics industry; • Marketing Services – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA for its series of ElectroTech table top shows; and • Special Projects – NEW ENGLAND for its co-sponsorship with ECIA of an all-industry networking and education event that attracted 100+ attendees to hear a presentation regarding technology trends. Seven chapters submitted a total of 14 entries this year, and as usual, the judges had a most difficult time making their selections. Many thanks to our judges: ERA Senior Vice President/Education Kathie Cahill, CPMR; ERA Senior Vice President/Membership John O’Brien, CPMR; ERA National Delegates Matt Cohen, CPMR (Michigan), and Ellen Coan, CPMR (Indiana-Kentucky); plus ERA CEO Walter Tobin. Each Chapter of the Year receives a full-tuition scholarship to the Chapter Officers Leadership Training (COLT) program that can be used this year or in 2017. The next COLT program is scheduled this coming October and November, and details will be announced shortly.
