The Electronics Representatives Association (ERA) Conference Committee has selected the theme that will guide the development of the program of the association's 48th Management and Marketing Conference, scheduled Feb 26-28, 2017, at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, Texas.
Holly Myers, CPMR, of Wallace Electronics Sales, chair of the Conference Committee, says the theme - "Collaborate, Differentiate, Accelerate: Drive to Excellence!" - was chosen to emphasize the focus of the program on the "vital partnerships among manufacturers' representatives, the manufacturers and the distributors. Our committee members were unanimous in wanting to stress collaboration to support companies that are striving to set themselves apart from their competitors while staying ahead of the changes affecting our industry."
With an Indy-style race car designed into the conference logo, ERA CEO Walter Tobin adds, "Everyone will know immediately that we will be addressing the speed at which reps, manufacturers and distributors must all keep adapting and driving forward to remain relevant, successful and profitable."
Myers notes that several sub-committees are now working on specific segments of the conference program, including both general sessions and breakout seminars. Details will be announced as they become available, and the program brochure will be published later this summer. Further information about the conference is available at era.org.
