Honeywell’s new NCG Series of MICRO SWITCH™ compact limit switches are now available in Europe through TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components. The NGS Series is a customer-configurable platform of medium-duty switches that allow the customer to choose between SPDT (single pole, double throw) and DPDT (double pole, double throw) configuration. Whichever option is chosen, the housing and the mounting footprint remain the same throughout the NGS Series. A further benefit of the NGS Series is its IP67 sealing, making these switches suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
The MICRO SWITCH NGS Series have snap action, positive break contacts which are available in silver alloy or gold plated. Housings are either plastic or metal and there are a wide a variety of different heads and actuator levers. Terminations can be either cable or connector. In all, the wide choice of different options means that the NGS Series offers over 380,000 different configurations.
In addition to IP67 sealing, the Honeywell MICRO SWITCH NGS Series limit switches meet NEMA standards 1, 4, 12 and 13 from the Association of Electrical Equipment and Medical Imaging Manufacturers and also have UL, CE, cUL and CCC approvals. Suitable applications include machine tools, elevators and escalators, rail doors, packaging equipment, boom position detection, mobile light towers and scissor lifts.
