The Electronics Representatives Association (ERA) has announced that its 48th Management and Marketing Conference, scheduled Feb. 26-28, 2017, in Austin, Texas, will feature a general session presentation by representatives of Amazon Business. Colin Puckett, Senior Marketing Manager, and Andy Aupperlee, Senior Vendor Manager, will deliver a program outlining Amazon Business' sales model in the electronic components industry.
ERA CEO Walter E. Tobin, says, "We feel it is important for our rep, manufacturer and distributor attendees to have an up-to-date understanding of Amazon Business, specifically its marketing and sales initiatives within our industry. Amazon's overall presence in electronic components has certainly earned the attention of our membership, and our Conference Committee believes attendees will enjoy hearing directly from Amazon Business representatives, as well as giving them feedback on the impact of Amazon on various membership constituents."
Holly Myers, CPMR, of Wallace Electronic Sales, Inc., chair of the 2017 Conference Committee, adds, "Our committee is looking forward to working with Colin and Andy of Amazon Business on addressing specific questions from the ERA membership during their presentation, and we feel it will bring a lot of value to attendees."
Tobin emphasizes, "One of ERA's primary responsibilities is to educate and inform its membership on all industry developments. The growing presence of Amazon Business in our industry has spurred a lot of questions and speculation. This presentation should go a long way toward providing a forum for an open discussion and giving our members and conference attendees an update directly from Amazon Business."
The ERA Conference will be held at the AT&T Executive Education Conference Center in Austin. The conference brochure will be available online on or about Nov. 7. For all current information about the conference and online registration, go to era.org.
