TTI, Inc., a world leading specialist distributor of electronic components, has invested in new stock, new lines and FAE personnel to support the transportation market which is a key applications sector for TTI. The company is backing up its investment with the launch of a 136-page digital catalogue which details innovative parts which sit this challenging market.
Comments Dermot Byrne Industry Marketing Director, Europe, Transportation & Automotive at TTI, Inc.: “Transportation in fact covers many different markets, and it is important to understand the individual needs for each.”
As cars look to include more driver assistance systems, there is a strong requirement for many different types of sensor. TTI created a specialist sensors team last year to support business across all its focused market sectors; for automotive it now offers products from franchises including TDK, Honeywell, Amphenol, as well as Murata, Vishay, Omron, and Panasonic.
New regulations governing emissions in cities are also having an effect. Cities such as Amsterdam aim to be emission-free by 2025. That’s not only true for cars, but also all the service vehicles – buses, delivery lorries, construction vehicles, garbage trucks etc. Electric and hybrid vehicles present their own challenges, especially as the current and voltages increase. TTI offers connectivity solutions from Amphenol, Delphi, Molex and Phoenix Contact and relay solutions from TE, Omron, Panasonic and others which address these applications.
For even heavier duty transportation designs such as trains, TTI offers products from TE – both sensors and the former Deutsch rail connector range - plus Smiths Connectors. The company is also certified to TS 16949, the International Standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems. Download the new Automotive & Transportation catalogue here.
