Fusion Worldwide, a leading open market electronic component distributor, today announced that Tim Burns has joined the company as Vice President of Sales Americas.
Burns brings nearly 20 years of experience to the role, with expertise in sales team management, sales growth, business development, marketing strategy and customer relationships. An experienced sales leader with a demonstrated history of growth, Burns will apply his nearly two decades of experience growing and leading sales teams at Fortune 1000 technology companies to the new role at Fusion.
As Vice President of Sales Americas, Burns’ focus will be to grow the customer base while retaining and developing existing customers. Additionally, he will serve as a coach and mentor to Fusion’s existing sales force.
Prior to joining Fusion Worldwide, Burns served as Senior Director of Sales Northeast at global IT solutions provider, Connection (formerly PC Connection). He also held the roles of senior sales manager and senior executive account manager with the technology company.
Burns holds a Bachelor’s Degree from State University of New York College at Oswego and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of New Hampshire, Paul School of Business and Economics.
